The Stairs' music is vibrant, alive and life-affirming. On these “stairs” you’ll move up and down, back and forth, up and down in a sophisticated world of melodic and psychedelic rock music. Their inspiration is primarily found among older artists such as The Kinks, The Doors, The Who and Procol Harum. The interplay is tight, the vocals are strong and the songwriting well-crafted. In other words, the audience can always expect a special experience when the Stairs enter the stage.

Solidly based in the Aarhus upcoming scene The Stairs are just one small step away from entering the Danish rock scene. Their career began with a bang, when the band went through to the finals of Emergenza 2006 and appeared in Store Vega. Since then, the Stairs have played more than 30 live gigs all around Denmark at venues such as “Vesterbro Festival”, “Voxhall”, “Lades Kælder”, “Huset i Magstræde”, “The Rock” and “Pakhuset” in Aarhus. The band has appeared on the bill with names such as Lily Electric, Alter Me, Garbo, Veto and The Breakers. Moreover, the Stairs have recorded a large a quantity of demos, some of them in collaboration with Soeren Balsner of Carpark North and the Stillwalker producer-team (Broken Beats, Oh no Ono). Recognition among music-reviewers has been great, and several Danish record companies are watching the band who undeterredly continue their way towards the top.
