Nederpop
Starting the early 1980s, the Nederpop term was introduced as successor of the Nederbeat to name the growth of Dutch language pop music from the Netherlands. The revived meaning came about because of the huge success of bands like Doe Maar. After Doe Maar this special genre with Ska and reggae rhythms was up till now followed by many other Dutch artists (latest: Ed Citroen, Kaas)
